A man faces court after "driving a policeman" in North Sydney

It is stated that the car had turned to the officer, who was not hurt, but had to take "avoidance" and was not hit.

In a statement, the police announced that a 25-year-old man was arrested when officers found Subaru Outback crashed into a concrete barrier on Albert Street in northern Sydney shortly afterwards.

"He failed to test the road on the road," the police spokesman said.

"He was taken to the Chatswood police station where he was subjected to a breathing analysis, reportedly returning a reading of 0.139."

The 25-year-old is charged with assaulting a police officer in his duties, using weapons to prevent legitimate detention, neglect driving, underground driving, and underground dangers.
