Xbox Live Gold is not required for playing Fortune Multiplayer for a limited time

Microsoft has given up on the need for Xbox Live Gold for online multiplayer this weekend.

Starting today, Xbox Live members will not need Gold membership to enjoy online multiplayer.

This is enabled through the Xbox Live "Free Days of Playing for Everything" which starts today and runs until February 3rd.

Xbox Live Gold is currently needed to play Fortneet online so this will be a great time for those who do not have a membership in the game.

While the Battle Pass will help you get the most money for your money in Fortune, it's completely free.

Fortnite is completely cross-play with all platforms, including PS4, so it will also enable Xbox gamers to play with friends on other platforms.

Now it is great time to jump to Fortnight as we prepare for a special Marshmella Concert.

Today, the first challenge came to live, while the other tomorrow will be live, until the concert at Pleasant Park.

In addition to offering a free multiplayer for the weekend, Microsoft also takes a minute's long Super Bowl ad.

If you do not want to wait for the ad to appear, you can view the extended version of 90 seconds right here.
