BMW Steyr: Schröder factory goes to Germany

As it became known yesterday, Ilka Horstmeier will inherit from November at the Dingolfing car factory in Lower Bavaria. She will move to Munich as the new Chief of Staff for the Group. Dingolfing is the largest BMW factory in Europe, the third largest in the world. 18,000 employees build 1,500 cars a day. Steyr has the largest engine factory in the Group.

54-year-old German Christoph Schroeder took his place in Steyr two years ago. He was previously the assembly manager at a factory in Regensburg. Who follows him to Steyr is not yet known.
