No other player has spent more time at Central Court in Vogelweidplatz at the height of the tournament, a luxury enjoyed only by superstars and local heroes. A total of six days of training, Thiem, before today's opening match against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (5.30pm, live ORF Sport +, Sky) in the legs, seems like a perfect preparation. "It helps a lot," the 26-year-old says.
