After the siege, Muktijuddha Mancha left Shahbag



Joint Secretary General of Hefazat-e-Islam Maulan Mamunul Haque and senior naib Islami Andolan of Bangladesh Ameer Syed Muhammad Faizul Karim, who opposed the construction of the Bangabandhu sculpture, blocked the Shahbagh intersection in the capital for an hour demanding seven points. The program includes simultaneous human chains and protest rallies announced on December 1 across the country.

A large number of Muktijuddha Mancha leaders and activists led by Aminul Islam Bulbul and Al Mamun blocked the road at the Shahbagh intersection at 4pm on Saturday demanding seven points. They later held a mass rally there. Leaders and activists from various levels of the organization supported the request by setting the stage on a mini truck. Mancha President Aminul Islam Bulbul, Secretary General Al Mamun, Dhaka University Branch President Sonnet Mahmud and Secretary General Yasir Arafat, among others, were present on the occasion. At around 5pm the leaders and activists of the Muktijuddha Mancha left.
