American rapper Cardi B revealed on Tuesday an interview with White House Socialist candidate Bernie Sanders, who she is passionately supportive of the need to raise the minimum wage in the United States.
Sitting in front of a seventeen-year-old senator, the 26-year-old star asks in a quiet tone, away from his usual writer, "What are we going to do with pay in the United States?"
"When I wasn't famous, I just felt that no matter how many jobs I had, I couldn't make ends meet because I couldn't pay rent, transportation and eat," continues the former striptease, the rap album of the year at the last Grammy Awards in January.
"Some boast that there are more jobs in America today. Okay, we give more jobs, but how do they get paid? These jobs pay almost nothing," says the New Yorker.
"That's exactly the problem," said Independent Senator Bernie Sanders, who in one of his big fights has made the minimum wage increase to $ 15 an hour.
"We currently have tens of millions of people earning what I consider to be starvation wages. You can expect to earn nine dollars an hour?" Says the unlucky 2016 Democratic primary candidate.
Bernie Sanders, strong at a time of great support among young people, has created a surprise, and he seems to have been threatening to name Democrat Hillary Clinton for months.
He is currently in third place for the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election.
The fabulous duo Sanders-Cardi B met at a beauty salon in Detroit in late July to record this interview, a fitting spot for the rapper, who often, as in this video, wears ultra sophisticated manicures.
An hour after it was released, the video posted to the star's Instagram account has already been viewed more than a million times.
