São Paulo – earnings season in the third quarter continues to fall on the Brazilian market. Natura saw net income of 117.9% over the previous year, while Cyrel's loss increased 17 times more than the third quarter of 2017.

Natura achieved a consolidated net income of $ 132.8 million in the third quarter, which is 117.9% more than in the same period last year. EBITDA amounted to 483 million rupees, an increase of 7.2%, and the EBITDA margin was 14.9%, which is 4.1 percentage points more than in the same period of 2017 .
Consolidated net income amounted to 3,241 billion rupees, an increase of 37.1% over the same period last year. Net financial result was negative by $ 163.9 million, compared with a loss of $ 275.4 million in the third quarter of 2017.
Total revenues amounted to $ 1.275 billion, an increase of 8.7% over the same period last year, with revenue growth in all business segments.
In the third quarter, Qualicorp achieved a consolidated net profit of $ 109.7 million, a decrease of 1.1% compared to the same quarter last year. Adjusted EBITDA reached 241.9 million rupees from July to September, a decrease of 8.2% in annual comparison. The margin in that period was 49.3% compared to 50.6% last year.
According to the company, the withdrawal of Ebitda reflects a reduction in operating revenue, combined with changing policy for default situations. Net income ended the period from July to September to $ 491.1 million, which is by 5.7% less.

CPFL Renováveis (CPRE3)
CPFL Energias Renováveis achieved a net profit of $ 121 million in the third quarter of 2018, a record high for the company and 27.6 percent higher than the results for the same period of 2017. The net revenue of the renewable energy company reached R $ 621.7 million, which is 6.3% more than in the same month of 2017. In the third quarter, the logistics company achieved a net profit of $ 31.1 million, which is 103.5 percent more than a year earlier. This was positively influenced by revenue growth, cost and cost control, debt reduction and negative spontaneous appeal, including regulation of ICMS in chemicals business in the amount of R $ 7.2 million. Tent, a construction company and programmer focused on Minha Casa Minh Vida (MCMV), closed the third quarter of 2018 with a net profit of $ 64.4 million, up 109.8% over the same period of 2017. Adjusted EBITDA amounted to 82.7 million, which is 70.1% more on the same basis. Margin Ebitda grew from 4.5 pp to 17.9%.
