That did not last long for UFC Minneapolis last Saturday.
In a heavyweight duel, Brazilian Júnior Cigano dos Santos was defeated in 1min10s by Cameron Francis Ngannou.
Known for having had the biggest hand ever recorded in the UFC today, Ngannou hit two strikes, not even so full, in Gypsy and it was enough for Herb Dean to intervene and to win Cameroon's technical knockout.
That defeat has broken the series of three UFC Gypsy victories. The Brazilian was waiting for a new shot at the belt.
Already Ngannou, who won the fourth consecutive UFC title, is likely to face Daniel Cormier's winner (division title) against Stipe Miocic in the title.
