Ennio Moricone celebrates the 90th anniversary
The world-famous composer, author of nearly 500 films, Enio Moricone, is 90 years old today. Six decades of them are dedicated to his musical activity. Today, the musician started his great tour of "60 Years of Music", which began last year.
A few days ago, Moricone spent his work at St. Petersburg and Moscow. The concerts were incredibly successful, like all other masters. Regardless of his age, the composer, who turned himself in direction until 2000, continues to travel, albeit at a less active rhythm.
The tour, which is actually a farewell, involves various European cities. On one of the recent concerts in London, November 26, additional tickets were sold.
Sometimes his creator had to give up on open speeches because of severe back pain. A few years ago, Moricone had gone through treatment and seemed no longer at the scene.
However, a musician likes to play an orchestra performing his compositions. "First of all, I continue to organize concerts because I'm invited to do that, that is, people want it." Secondly, I really love this, I love it a lot, and financially this is not bad: I can make money rather than write new things, "he said in a recent interview with TASS.
Moricone was born on November 10, 1928 in Rome. His father is a professional musician who plays a trumpet in a jazz band, and his mother is a regular housewife. Since the composer is the largest of the five children.
The musician himself believes it is a part of his success because of his diligence, hard work and good preparation. The first real success came after working with Sergio Leone. The composer with his music extends his West.
In his long career, Moricone is working with many Italian and foreign directors. He wrote music for emblematic bands such as Sergio Leone "Once Upon A Time" (1984), "The Invincibles" by Brian De Palma, "Giuseppe Tornatore's New Cinema Paradise".
The film almost always guarantees success if it sounds like Moricone's music. Some of his compositions are becoming more popular than cassettes for which they are written.
Despite the fact that the composer has dozens of the most prestigious awards and six nominations for the Oscar, he won his first "Golden Warrior" in 2007 for a full contribution to cinematography.
The second Oscar was awarded for "The Hated Eighth" in 2016, in which Moricone agrees to experiment with director Quentin Tarantino, inspired by "spaghetti westerns".
The American Academy of Film Sculpture has received many films on which Moricone writes music. According to sales results, 27 discs with compositions of their compositions became "golden" and 7 "platinum."
For its anniversary, Italian television has prepared special shows devoted to the creative way of musicians. The "Hero of the Day," as announced, will be guest on the popular evening show on the first channel of state-run television "RAI" on Sunday.
