Amazons, the Amazons network divider, will deploy a new headquarters in New York and Arlington, Virginia, not far from the Washington DC.
Two new factories will work in total about 50,000 people, the company said. Several thousand people are already in New York and Arlington for Amazon.
The company in Seattle remains. "Amazon's investments in each of the two new factories will boost tens of thousands of additional jobs in the surrounding municipalities," the company said, adding that employment will begin next year.
There was concern that the choice of cities for a new US headquarters would have affected the limited housing market and traffic systems.
"New York will get tens of thousands of new, well-paid jobs, and Amazon will have the most talented workforce on one of the most attractive places on the planet," New York Mayor Bill de Blasio wrote on Twitter.
Communication in Amazon has announced that it will receive a tax credit in New York under a special $ 1.2 billion tax breaks program. Arlington and Virginia offer $ 573 million worth of incentives.
The company announced that Nashville, Tennessee, will have a new Amazon center that will employ 5,000 people.
Initially, 200 cities and municipalities were offered to accept a new headquarters. Amazon has reduced its number to 20 in January this year. / BTA
