The skinny cot of the seals is being repaired at the Aquarium Rescue Center for Marine Mammals in Vancouver after being rescued by farm workers near Campbell River.
The puppy, named Mo, was not able to dive and float sideways when staff in the Mowi meadow warned fisheries and the oceans in Canada on Monday.
Pacific Coastal Airlines in Vancouver, where the rescue staff is concerned, reports the disease stamped by CTV News.
"She is dehydrated and severely malnourished, suggesting she can not thrive after refusing sex, but she is fearless, which is a sign of hope," said Assistant Director Emily Johnson.
The center hopes for rehabilitation and release Mo back into the wild.
