Nintendo delayed its upcoming Mario Kart Tour a mobile game by the summer of 2019, the company announced in its latest quarterly earnings report.
Nintendo announced it Mario Kart Tour exactly one year ago. The company initially planned to release the game by the end of March 2019, but shared little information about the title before today's update.
Nintendo says it wants to add more letters to the title before dropping it into the wild.
"In the business of smart devices, Mario Kart Tour it is planned to be released this fiscal year, but in order to improve the quality of the app and expand the content offer after launch, the release date was moved in the summer of 2019, "the company writes.
In the same report, Nintendo says it will release content for other mobile titles to keep the players involved.
The delay comes just a week after Nintendo has announced that it will postpone Metroid Prime 4 to deliver the development of Retro Studio.
