OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 users receive their first update to OxygenOS 11 Open Beta. Based on Android 11, this is not a commercially stable update, but a public beta version that anyone can test. It has been buggy and it is recommended that you do not install it on your daytime running headphones. The open beta of OxygenOS 11 suggests that the update brings a new user interface, camera settings, ambient display, dark upgrades and a gallery.

The company announced the launch of the OxygenOS 11 Open Beta update for OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 on its online forum. This update is only compatible for unlocked versions without an operating system. In some conditions, the Gallery application may load more slowly, and some images may not be displayed. OnePlus also listed Bluetooth connectivity issues where headphones and speakers connected via Bluetooth may not be able to play audio from time to time.
