Similarly, in the early morning hours, the Los Peumos Fundos forest fire occurred in the Valparaíso district, covering an area of 0.8 hectares. The incident threatened Peñuelas National Reserve (200 m away), which led to the activation of the common red alert, after a hard time the fire was controlled.
