More than 4.5 million people in Chile are delinquent: most debts owe retail economies



The twelfth Morosa Debt report released on Thursday morning, which analyzed the quarter from July to September, showed it the number of forwarders in the country exceeds 4 million 500 thousand (4,509,598).

This figure, which was collected by University of San Sebastian with Equifax data, represents a variation of 3% over the previous year.

The same analysis showed that the largest number of debtors were concentrated in Retail (40%) and Banking (29%)However, when considering the amount, the ratio is reversed: Banking concentrates 57% while Retail sales reach 18%.

In distribution by gender, women are more than men with 2,309,660 compared to 2,199,938 people, respectively. When analyzing the sector, the presence of women prevails in retail, while men focus on banking.

Antofagasta regions ($ 2,293,437), Metropolitan (1,910,992 dollars), Tarapacá ($ 1,897,686), and Atacama ($ 1,728,291) lead the average delinquency scale.

Meanwhile, in Grand Santiago, Vitacura ($ 5,907,391), Las Condes ($ 4,713,587), and Providencia ($ 4,555,321) make up the highest amount.

On the contrary, María Pinto commemorates the lowest average value of $ 1,095,301.
