The National Institute of Statistics (INE) delivered this Friday morning unemployment quarter August to October.
According to the entity, Unemployment rate reached 7.1%, representing a variation of 0.4 percentage points in twelve months.
The above is explained by an increase of 1% of employees, compared with the growth of 1.4% of the workforce, resulting in greater market pressure.
The Agency also reported on this unemployed grew by 6.4%, explained the unemployed (6.0%) and those seeking job for the first time (10.6%).
In the annual growth of employed, private (1.5%) and public (2.7%) paid professional categories and construction sector (4.0%), accommodation and meals (6.6%), and teaching (3.0% ).
By working time, the growth of this segment was boosted by those who typically worked 45 hours a week (2.0%). The annual growth in private salaries (72,120) was the highest since 2015 for the same quarter.
As far as sex is concerned, the rate of men was 7.4%, rising by 0.1 percentage point in twelve months, and by men 6.9%, 0.6 pp more.
In twelve months, the unemployment rate has increased in nine regions, decreased by five and remained unchanged at Aysén. The highest increase was recorded in Atacama (1.6 pp.), While Magallanes recorded the highest decrease (-1.7 pp.).
According to INE, the pressure was 12.8%, an increase of 0.1 pp. in twelve months. Seasonally adjusted unemployment reached 7.1%, which implied 0.2 pp. more than the previous moving quarter.
Population out of workforce or inactive grew 2.4% in twelve months, affected only by the usual inactive (3.8%).
The informal employment rate fell by 0.3 percentage points, reaching 29.3%. In the same period, informal workers increased by 0.2%.
