According to the specialized portal Dollar Colombia, the increase on this Wednesday, March 3, 2021, is 0.67%, which is the highest level this year and in the last three months.
TRM increased by 3.83% (134.44 pesos) compared to the same day in 2020, the site says, and its value increased by 3.16% (111.62 pesos) compared to the same day in February this year.
For its part, the WilkinsonPC Dollar website recalls that the historical high of the dollar in Colombia is 2,153 pesos and was reached almost a year ago, on March 20, 2020, when a coronavirus pandemic had already been determined.
Oil reserves in the United States are increasing
Commercial crude oil reserves in the United States rose last week as the pace of refineries slowed significantly, while gasoline “stocks” plummeted.
According to a report by the US Energy Information Agency (EIA) released on Wednesday, oil stocks rose 21.6 million barrels (mb) to 484.6 mb on February 26, their biggest weekly increase since 1982. Meanwhile, gasoline reserves fell from 13.6 mb to 243.5 mb, the biggest drop since 1990.
