Samsung and Huawei remain the global leader in mobile sales for the third quarter

Specialized company Counterpoint Research has presented its smart phone sales report in the third quarter of this year, with the presence of Samsung and Huawei in the second occupation, who have reached the last semester, to participate in the Apple market.

Despite a drop of 13% compared to sold units for the third quarter of last year, Samsung concluded this quarter with 72.3 million mobile phones sold, which is 19% of the world's market share and reached maintenance at the top.

With sales growth of 33%, Huawei consolidated second place, announcing 52 million smartphone sales in the same period. The first three were filled by Apple, a company that showed similar figures as in the third quarter of last year, as it remained at 12% of the market share, with 46.9 million units sold, with only 200,000 sales.

The Chinese brand that entered the country this year, Xiaomi, approached Apple's apple brand since it already covers 9% of smartphone market share since it sold 35.7 million mobile phones in the previous quarter. With the same market share, fifth place corresponds to Chinese Oppo, which closed 33.9 million units sold.

Research Counterpoint Research also pointed out that total mobile phone sales fell by 3% in the third quarter of this year compared to the previous year, after switching from these 398.8 million smartphones to EUR 386.8 million for these three months .
