Last year SOR Libchavy earned more than 3 billion CZK for products and services, which is CZK 754 million more. The net profit of the bus company fell by 16 million to 176 million kunas compared to the previous year.
Last year, the company produced 587 vehicles, 22 percent more than in 2017. In the Czech Republic were sold 421 buses, the rest went to export – 40 vehicles were sold in Slovakia and 57 in Germany. Other exporting countries were Poland, Bulgaria, Estonia and Russia.
Exports last year stagnated. Last year, the company was most successful on the domestic market, while foreign buyers, especially Slovakia, were dominated last year.
Last year 70 percent of sales were diesel buses, 11 percent of the buses sold were natural gas, ten percent electric buses, and nine percent trolley buses.
The percentage owner of the company, across Baulige, is EP Industries, whose majority shareholder is Daniel Křetínský. In the past, SOR produced agricultural machines, and in 1991 it was bought by former Karos employees, and two years later produced the first bus prototype.
