For some groups of people July brings more money: for retirees, families with children and for Midijobbera. But some things will be more expensive – namely, shipping and, in the future, perhaps the energy from liquefied natural gas.
On July 1, German retirees get more money. This is 3.18 percent more in the old federal states and 3.91 percent in the new federal states.
The increase is another step towards equal pensions in the West and in the East. Returnees in the new federal states now receive 96.5 percent of pensioners in the old federal states. By 2024, it would have to reach 100 percent.
10 euros more support
Child allowance also increases on July 1st. For the first and second child, parents now receive 204 instead of 194 euros from the state, for the third 210 instead of 200 euros. For the fourth and every additional child, you will now be paid 235 instead of 225 euros.
The child allowance will increase
In addition, there is an unprecedented subsidy up to now: a supplement for children. It is paid with child allowance and is designed to prevent single parent families or low-income families from slipping into ALG II childbirth. Up to now, the child allowance amounted to a maximum of 170 € per month and a child, up from a maximum of 185 € on July 1.
In addition to the clean number, some conditions under which a child allowance is paid are also altered. Thus, for example, child support payments are no longer fully recognized, so in the future more single parents should be entitled.
The child allowance is paid gross of a couple of income of EUR 900 gross and one parent of income of EUR 600. So far, there has been a maximum amount that is suddenly no longer paid.
Sometimes this has led to the fact that the family's income increase still had less money in the end because the child allowance fell.
This needs to be changed as there are no longer any limitations, but before "narrowing" the support. Every euro is more attributed to child allowance.
An exception to the attachment is increasing
Every two years also increases the monthly base amount that can not be attached. This is the amount that debtors can keep from creditors every month.
This amount has so far amounted to EUR 1,139.99, as of July 1, EUR 1,178.59. Relates to individuals without respite. Who pays for maintenance, for an indefinite basic amount increases by about 440 euros to the recipient, with two or more for about 240 euros.
Less Social Security Contributions for Mini Jobs
The margin of income for which there is a reduction in social security contributions will also increase on July 1. Until now, paid workers with income between 450 and 850 euros paid less social security contributions. In the future, everyone with income between 450 and 1.300 euros.
As a rule, "less social security" means less pension later. However, according to the federal government, this is compensated, so lower pension contributions "do not lead to lower pension rights".
Sending letters now costs 80 cents
The Swiss Post increases the prices of postcards and postcards. Postcard postcard is increased from 45 to 60 cents, a postage for normal letter from 70 to 80 cents. Even sending a compact, large, and maxi letter will be more expensive by 10 cents.
Germany should become a "central trading center" for liquefied natural gas
According to the German government, liquid natural gas – or liquefied natural gas (LNG) – already makes up about 25 percent of the energy mix in Germany, and that share will increase. Germany should even become a "central trading center" for liquid natural gas in Europe.
However, so far, there is little infrastructure, so the Great Coalition has adopted a decree that will help interested companies decide to invest in that direction and came into force on June 20th.
Among other things, it is about the systems that will be used to supply LNG to the pipeline network. According to the Decree, the costs of building such a plant will no longer be borne by the plant operator, but by the network operator.
The network operator should be able to transfer these costs (as well as labor costs) to network users. Obvious effects on a consumer wallet should not have.
The first energy certificates for non-residential buildings stand out
At the beginning of the year, the first energy passports for residential buildings were gradually abolished, followed by uninhabited buildings, such as office buildings and schools. A valid energy passageway must always be displayed when the building is sold, leased or leased. This shows how much the building is energy efficient.
For homeowners, it's important to look at how long your energy certificate is still valid. The first ones were released in 2009, so some of them will lose their validity this year.
There are two types of energy certificates: communal cards and badges. The German Energy Agency (dena) advises about it. Because they include the entire design and part of the home's infrastructure, they are more reliable.
