OnePlus 7 just beat the Samsung Galaxy S10 to this major Android update

OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro are already starting to receive Android 10.

Google announced its next-generation operating system on September 3, which means it, the latest devices from the Shenzhen-based company, was awarded less than 20 days later.

This makes the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro the two largest flagships that have been receiving Android 10 since it was first introduced for Google Pixel devices.

OnePlus headsets will launch the new OxygenOS 10.0 corporation based on the Google platform – fans can look forward to fresh aesthetic, enhanced privacy settings and new gestures.

OxygenOS also has a number of fantastic features not available in Google's vanilla version of Android 10, such as the ability to block certain spam from keywords.

OnePlus stressed that the new operating system will be introduced gradually to all owners of OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro.

This means that if your device does not immediately allow you to acquire new software, you should not worry.

Can you manually check for software updates in the settings menu of any device.

The release of Android 10 for the OnePlus 7 series means that cell phones have knocked Samsung's Galaxy S10 up to date.

There is currently no official word on when the South Korean tech giant will start rolling out Android 10 for its prized smartphone lineup.

Last year's Android 9 Pie software was fully released on August 6, but owners of the company's latest devices had to wait until December before receiving it.

Samsung is holding a developer conference next month – it's possible that the seller will discuss their Android 10 launch plans at the event.

The release of Android 10 for OnePlus 7 comes just weeks before the company is due to launch its next flagship smartphone.

OnePlus has already confirmed that it will host an event in London next month to showcase its next-generation OnePlus 7T series.

Just like the company's current devices, the 7T is expected to come in standard and "Pro" variants.

Mobile phones are expected to boast enhanced cameras and will be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset.

Express.co.uk will bring you all the news about the OnePlus 7T series when it is announced next month.
