Detection of Influenza Virus in Incheon three weeks earlier than last year

The first flu virus in Incheon was discovered three weeks earlier than last year, with special attention being devoted to preventing flu.

According to Incheon, September 9, the first influenza virus in Incheon was found on samples for patients with respiratory illness on June 6th. This is three weeks earlier than the first date of disclosure last year. The detected virus is A (H1N1) pdm09, which is usually detected in Korea.

Flu Virus is an acute respiratory disease, commonly known as a flu, which is easily transmitted through a cervix or intestine. Symptoms include sudden fever over 38 degrees, headache, throat inflammation, muscle pain, cough and general weakness.

Ineon city official said: "The flu epidemic usually begins in December, and immunization is effective two weeks after inoculation, so it's better to vaccinate against the flu by November, as it will last 3-12 months (averaging 6 months)," he explained.

On the other hand, the CDC said that from October 25, 52.6% of children aged 6 months to 12 years and 76.8% of older persons aged 65 and older were vaccinated against the flu.
