Latvian midfielder Chebril Makreckis made his debut for German third division football club Dortmund II on Friday, according to match minutes.
The 21-year-old Makreckis played against Zwickau on the pitch in the 78th minute, replacing Berkan Tacu. The Dortmund II team beat the Zwickau players 2: 1 (1: 1), but all the goals were scored before the Latvian player came out on the field. The Latvian U-19 national team player, who grew up in Germany, joined the Borussia Dortmund system last year. Prior to that, he played for the youth team Bayer 04 Leverkusen. In the Latvian U19 national team, in which Makreckis made his debut in 2018, he played seven games in which he scored one goal.
Belasti’s Jagiellonia, represented by Latvian national football goalkeeper Pavel Steinbor, played on Saturday in the first round of the Polish extra class with Gdansk Lechia, represented by midfielder Krister Tober. The match between “Jagiellonia” and “Lechia” in Białystok ended 1: 1 (0: 0).
Steinbor was in the game, but Tobers did not leave the field, Tobers remained on the reserve bench. The score was opened in the 52nd minute by Lukašs Zvolinskis leading the guests, but after three minutes, “Jagiellonia” played and scored for Hesus Imas.
