The Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid and the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupé get 500 kW (680 hp) from the intelligent interaction of a four-liter V8 engine (404 kW / 550 hp) and an integrated Tiptronic S electric motor (100 kW / 136 hp). , The maximum system torque of 900 Nm is available immediately after idling. Both models accelerate from standstill to 100 km / h in 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 295 km / h. In addition to both major models, Porsche's range of hybrid cars now includes the new Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupé, with a system output of 340 kW (462 hp), 700 Nm of torque and a full charge range of up to 43 kilometers. Speed up to 135 km / h with electricity only
Like all Porsche plug-in hybrid cars, the new flagship Cayenne is one of the most sporty in the upper-class segment, not because of its hybrid powertrain, but because of it. In the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, the electric motor is located between the V8 engine and the Tiptronic S eight-speed gearbox.
The two engines are interconnected by a disconnecting clutch contained in a hybrid module called ECA. In driving mode, the E-Power electric motor can accelerate the vehicle independently to a maximum speed of 135 km / h. In addition, it can be used to further increase power in other modes. These modes can be selected with the standard Sport Chrono kit (Hybrid Auto, Sport and Sport Plus). Porsche has taken this strategy of increasing power from the sports supercar 918 Spyder.
A lithium-ion battery is installed under the boot floor. Its capacity is 14.1 kWh. With a built-in 7.2 kW AC charger, the high-voltage battery can be fully charged in 2.4 hours with a 400-volt 16-amp fuse. Charging takes six hours from a standard 230 volt and 10 amp household plug. Additionally, charging can be scheduled with the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) or Porsche Connect app (for smartphones and Apple® Watch).

From the new model year onwards, extras for all Cayenne derivatives include the Apple CarPlay® wireless network, new USB-C ports, and an inductive smartphone pad. Air conditioning is standard on all Porsche Hybrid models. The remote can be controlled directly from the PCM and Porsche Connect application and allows you to heat and cool your car even when the ignition is off.
All Cayenne models feature LED headlights, cruise control with speed limitation, pedestrian protection that receives camera data, and a Cayenne Coupé rear camera assist system for parking. Optional options include matrix LED headlamps, projection screen, night vision with thermal camera and Porsche InnoDrive digital assisted pilot with adaptive cruise control, lane departure assistance, traffic sign recognition, lane guidance and intersection assistance.
Double debut: V6 and V8 hybrid Cayenne Coupé
In addition to the Cayenne Coupé, Porsche has added an even sportier variant to the successful SUV family. Coupe features include sharper lines with the original roof and rear, an adjustable rear spoiler, a rear bench with dual single-seat features and two different roof designs: a standard glass panoramic roof with a glass lid and a carbon fiber roof.
