
Young Mohamed Hani Al-Kuri, a player of the Egyptian Railways team, died during his team’s match against Qena’s sons at Al-Nahhas Stadium in Alexandria after swallowing his tongue after fainting and was not present in the ambulance.
And the Al-Sikkah club, to which the player belonged, announced the suspension of sports activities and a state of mourning for a period of 3 days, due to the spirit of the deceased youth born (2004).
The Alexandria Football Region Competition Committee has decided to postpone El Sekka El Hadid’s matches in all junior sector competitions on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday, to mourn the player at the request of his club’s board of directors.

Dr Mohamed Sultan, head of the Medical Board of the Egyptian Football Federation, commented on the young player’s death: “There are clear instructions not to start any match without an ambulance, in all leagues and in all age groups.”
He added: “It is assumed that the referee will cancel the match, in the absence of an ambulance, and this is determined by the regulations for competitions.”
