Artist A. Petrašiūnaitė: The world is coming back to me

Audron Petrašiūnaitė, who is preparing for a personal exhibition at the Kaunas Gallery Gallery, will present non-pictorial works this time. For the first time in Kaunas, artists will be presented with exported carpets and graphical work cycles: Snow Sate, Amy Winehouse Tumblr, Body House and monotypes created for 1998.

In early 2016, the artist exhibited the latest paintings in the gallery "Fracture Generation" at the exhibition accompanying the exhibition cycle. There will be no paintings on November 22, but this time viewers will see recognizable motives. They, as the artist says, are repeated in carpets, graphics and painting.

"Traveling from one to another job, for example, a motif with a charming, good, thick sugar that jumped over the fence and bobbing my garden, is also on canvas and grown up. I was dreaming of a" Transparent Woman "wearing a textile item. it was hard to imagine this time: I dreamed of dreaming, the woman leaning and said, look at my center, see how everything in me was great, was the answer – pay attention to the center of the picture and everything will be solved ., and later I was born ", – A.Petrašiūnaitė speaks fluently.

While the graphics are more productive during the winter and the embroidery on the rugs on long and bright summer days, they all work together, no matter what the season, the intuitive feelings of what they want creative expressions.

Graphics was called by an artist as an adventure: "In the graphics you never know what will happen." A little wonder is created in the impression of carving. Painting often follows your nose, requires layers, wants viscosity of color and texture. , it's like reverse graphics – in the line of graphic arts and in embroidery carvings. "

As in painting, as in graphic art, the presence of man is important in the carpets. In some works, the painter himself shows, others include the actors of dreams or the famous pop culture icon, such as Amy Winehouse.

Yet, in works, the artist clearly allows the viewer to feel a sustainable relationship between man and nature. Although a modern man is trying to deny him, he is, according to the painter, a part of nature. The more it deny it, the more sick it is, the more his psyche will be lost.

Suddenly, one day, I felt that the view from the window was the same, though not the same. From this moment begins creativity.

"In my works man and nature are almost the same. If you feel plants, animals, if you are in contact with them, enrich your inner world and never feel unhappy," says Petrašiūnaitė, and notes that man must be open. "If you see nature as a botanical textbook or zoo, you will not say anything to me: I live in Višakio Rūta, a village in the past 15 years, I saw the same picture from my house window in the same year, but suddenly one day I felt that the view from the window The same is the same, but that is not the case. From this moment on, creativity begins. True wisdom says that the world can recognize through the threshold of your home and sometimes I follow this principle. "

The exhibitions in the works are less self-conscious and quieter, more harmonious. "I feel that after all the pains associated with the operation of the leg a few years ago, the world is coming back to me," the artist greeted.
