KATE Middleton and Prince William will do this high-profile visit to Pakistan this autumn – despite the "very likely" terrorist threat.
It is expected that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will undergo training on the hostile environment a week before the trip.
As a future successor to the throne, William will follow the rates of both parents.
The royal tour of Pakistan comes more than 13 years after the last royal visit, when Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall left the country in 2006.
Diana, the princess of Wales, has also traveled several times to her charity work.
High Commissioner for Pakistan, Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, said the government and people in Pakistan welcomed the announcement William and Kate would visit in the coming months.
"Residents of Pakistan continue to cherish and are happy to remember the visit of Her Majesty the Queen of Pakistan during 1961 and 1997," he said.
"The upcoming royal visit is a reflection of the importance the United Kingdom attaches to its relations with Pakistan.
"The two countries enjoy the historic ties that both sides want to further strengthen."
