#Free_Lfen, Stimulate Solidarity for Two Young Street Artists Arrested in Casablanca

The controversy swarms on the canvas. On Tuesday, November 13, two young street artists were arrested at Maréchal in Casablanca for "anxiety and violence against civil servants during their duties". The fees that another street artist at that time, Sami Allam, strongly denied.

They are Badr Mouataz and Mehdi Achataoui, two young street artists, 25 and 28, who are accustomed to perform live in Morocco and beyond. According to Sami, who played music with Badr and other members of his band, Mehdi just passed and did not deliver at the time of the incident.

"The authorities were trying to supply the equipment, we refused because we lived with it. Mehdi, who did not play that day, intervened trying to calm the situation, but finally found behind the lattice, he and Badr," complains Samija.

During this stormy exchange between power and the wrong cause, the auxiliary power element attached to Wilaye Casablanca's administration annex faded. According to Sam, he suffered a traffic accident and has not yet recovered. Emergency aid was sent to the scene to bring it to a hospital where he had made a medical certificate to support his appeal.

Behind the bars Badr and Mehdi will appear in court on November 23. According to the Criminal Code, in their articles 263 to 267, they face a prison sentence of up to five years.

As a reminder, Wali from Casablanca, Abdelkbir Zahoud, banned last month the presence of street musicians accused of noise pollution.

On the internet, Internet users have not remained indifferent. Artists and ordinary citizens, all mobilized to cancel the arrest of these young people who just animated and made the less stressed busy white town.
