Morocco awards more than 80 scholarships to students from the DRC

Kinshasa – Morocco has awarded more than 80 scholarships to Congo students for the current academic year, Royal Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) Rachid Agassim said in Kinshasa on Wednesday.

While just three years ago, 45 Congolese students were eligible for scholarships, this year thanks to the HSS "Understanding" and on "Contribution" The Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI), more than 80 Congolese youth are eligible to receive these scholarships, said the Moroccan diplomat at a reception organized to hand over letters approving Congolese students with scholarships at a Moroccan public higher education institution, for academic year 2019/2020.

"Giving scholarships to African students is a strong tradition that has consolidated year after year, for almost twenty years."said Mr. Agassim, recalling that "Each year, thousands of foreign students, most of whom come from the African continent, go to Morocco to further their higher education.".

Awarding scholarships to African students is part of the program "South-South Cooperation" and testifies that "Sincerity" from Morocco when it comes to cooperation with all African countries, cooperation "Based on pragmatism and the win-win principle"he pointed out.
