Elections in 37 municipalities – Outback – DVHN.nl



The largest municipality is Groningen, which goes along with Haren and Ten Boer, with a total of 190,000 voters. Following is Haarlemmermeer (with Haarlemmerliede and Spaarnwoude, 118,380) and Hoeksche Waard (Binnenmaas, Cromstrien, Korendijk, Strijen, Oud-Beijerland, 69,227).

Other municipalities have fewer than 50,000 voters, of which the smallest municipality of Bečenda (Nuth, Onderbanken, Schinnen) in Limburg with nearly 29,818 voters. They can vote for eight parties competing for 25 council mandates.

Other new municipalities are Westerkwartier (Grootegast, Leek, Marum, Zuidhorn, Winsum, 49,170 voters), Vijfheerenlanden (Leerdam, Vianen, Zederik, 43,401), Altena (Aalburg, Werkendam, Woudrichem 43,038), West Betuwe Geldermalsen, Lingewaal, Neerijnen, Noordeast -Fryslân (Dongeradeel, Ferwerderadiel, Kollumerland and Nieuwkruisland (35,467), Noordwijk (Noordwijk, Noordwijkerhout, 34,723) and Molenlanden (Giessenlanden, Molenwaard, 39, 522), Hogeland (Bedum, Marne, Eemsmond, 33,562).

Since January 1, the Netherlands has 355 municipalities.
