Subaru announced a new limited number model for the Japanese market, whereby the WRX STI TC 380 was another add-on that sold a long line of special WRX models. Only 50 units are offered, with a retail of 4,965,840 yen (RM182,232).
Japanese rally driver Toshihiro Arai, who competed for the World Rally Championship (WRC) and the Japan Rally Championship (JRC) with Subaru, oversees the modifications that go to TC 380, and the numerical part points to the amount of horsepower true.
The starting point is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-speed engine, to which a bunch of HKS parts are added, including GT III RS Sport turbine kit, Super Turbo resonator and metal catalyst. At the top of that Arai Motorsport will also incorporate an RQA air filter and an in-house front shield casing that encourage increased rigidity of the frame.
The TC 380 will also have a carbon lance snippet and a series of Recaro cage seats, both of which are unique to the model. A full set of photos of the car will be released when the manufacturer launches the dedicated website for the model.
