In 2018, they introduced them 18.1 million new cancer cases and 9.6 million deaths caused by this disease, revealed the latest report World Health Organization (WHO).

Data reveals that there are more men who suffer and die from that illness, unlike the female sector. "One in five men and one in six women around the world develop cancer throughout their lives, and one in eight men and one in 11 women does not survive. "

The types of cancer with the highest incidence this year were lung, breast and colon; who are responsible, together with two others, for the largest number of deaths. One of lung and colon take the first two places in terms of mortality, while the breasts occupy the fifth.

In men, lungs occupy first place and prostate, the second at the level of incidence in developed countries and those in the development process.

In the case of women, incidence in the breast surpasses other types of cancer enormously, both developed and developing countries, followed by colon cancer in developed countries and cervical cancer in underdeveloped countries.
