WhatsApp deletes today's chats that are not stored on Google Drive – Technology

The Most Popular Instant Messaging Program WhatsApp applies a new storage system since Monday, after a deal signed with Google.

This agreement allows users to save their data with the Google Drive tool, without limiting space and later transferring capabilities between different Android devices.

This will make it easier to store conversations and move them, for example, to a new smartphone when a user changes their mobile device.

Companies will permanently delete all messages, as well as media files that do not perform the appropriate backups through the Drive, although each device can also save, if it is configured, a local copy of the file format,

Android users can update their copy, provided they have a personal Google Account, through the settings menu, by clicking the backup section, and also indicating the frequency you want to save to Drive.

As for the iPhone user, the company already has an agreement with Apple that allows its clients to save their conversation content via iCloud services.

WhatsApp is the most popular application in the world, as it has nearly 1,500 million users.
