Transit Metro Rail and the transit of world rail traffic announced on Thursday that it is forbidden to fill bottles at railway stations within tighter security measures after bombings in Joli, Sulu.
In a statement, the transportation department said the measure was trying to prevent the entry of dangerous chemicals in plastic bottles because they could be used as "liquid bombs".
"Therefore, we encourage our passengers before entering the MRT-3 station to consume their bottled drinks, otherwise they will not be allowed to enter them," he says.
The agency invited travelers to travel to cooperate and be cautious.
"Be confident we do all we can to ensure the safety and security of our passengers, because these are our two priorities," he said in a statement.
At least 21 people were killed, while several others were injured after the two explosions occurred during Sunday Mass at the Cathedral of Carmel at Joli, Sulu.
