Atibaia Health Department released an update last Thursday (19) on reported cases of measles, dengue and influenza in Atibaia.
There are 71 reports, with 20 confirmed cases, 1 classified as a post-vaccination response, 14 rejected and 36 under investigation. Of the total 20 cases, 13 were men between the ages of one and 43 years. Among the 7 cases, women are a child of 7 months, 2 children and 3 adults. Anyone who is not vaccinated or has immunization issues should seek medical attention to receive a dose. About 1200 doses of vaccine are administered weekly. Of the 20 positive measles cases, all were discharged and at risk.
By 19 this month, 564 suspected dengue cases had been registered, 394 confirmed (101 laboratory and 293 clinical epidemiological cases), 164 dismissed and 6 cases under investigation.
From the beginning of the year to this Thursday (19), Atibaia Health Department received 24 cases of influenza in Atibaia for the flu. Of these, 2 cases of H1N1, 2 H3 and 1 respiratory syncytial virus were confirmed, 18 were rejected and 1 are still under investigation.
