The Jaguarin rabies vaccination campaign, scheduled and published by the Sade Municipal Secretariat, is temporarily suspended and is awaiting "green light" by the Ministry of Health.
The reason is, according to a statement by Secretary of State Sade, Maria de Carmo de Oliveira Peliso, on the possible lack of an anti-hail vaccine for the immunization of dogs and cats in the state of So Paulo, notified by the Pasteur Institute, responsible for the production of animal rabies vaccine.
The announcement sent to Jaguar's health secretary came from the Campinas epidemiological vigilance group, directly linked to the state secretary for health, and was signed by Mrs. Regina Pacla, Technical Director of Sade II.
The statement suggests that municipalities suspend production of dissemination material and all other measures that will generate the costs for the planned vaccine.
Prior to this news, Sade Secretary of State, she is waiting for a certificate of the number of anti-rabies vaccine doses to be sent, as well as the actual receipt of the material.
"Only after the situation is resolved we will be re-announcing when a campaign against the Serbian vaccine will be held in Jaguar," says secretary Maria do Carmo.
