Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was one of the most anticipated games of 2021, a sequel to the 2004 title, an RPG that fans of the genre greatly appreciated and loved. However, those waiting for the title to launch will have to wait, as a number of problems have led to it being postponed indefinitely.
The first problems arose early last year, when the game, whose release date was scheduled for March 2020, was postponed because the studio wanted the game to be “better than it could have been released on time”. A second delay followed in the summer, until 2021, and developer Paradox mentioned “organizational change”.
The situation seems to be extremely complicated, Paradox announces that the game will not be launched until 2021. “We decided to postpone the launch even more,” the developer specified.
The delay in itself isn’t worrying news, but the fact that the main studio working on the game, Hardsuit Labs, will also be replaced certainly offers some cause for concern. “We started working with a new partner studio to complete the game. It was a difficult decision, but we are convinced it is the right thing to do,” the Paradox statement said.
