Deniz Williams, 49, from Florida, was sentenced to life imprisonment for complicity in planning the murder of her husband Michael Williams nearly 20 years ago to raise $ 1.75 million for her life insurance and marry her best friend, Brian Winchester.
In 2000, Williams went on a hunt for Lake Seminol. On that day, he and Deniz celebrated the sixth wedding anniversary. After he did not return home, he was looking for him.
In the next few weeks, the police found his boat, jacket, rubber boots, and hunting licenses, but not his body, and found that alligators were eating him.
When in June 2001 it was found to have drowned in the lake, Deniz collected $ 1.75 million for the life insurance contract.
His mother, Cherley En Williams, however, did not want to believe that her son was simply drowned, and in 2004, her insistent insistence opened an investigation into his disappearance.
William William's body was found in 2017. Deniz was arrested in May this year and was charged with first degree murder, for conspiracy to murder and fraud.
The best friend of the murdered mother, Brian Winchester, divorced in 2005 and married Dennis, with whom she has been in secret since 1997. However, in 2012 they broke up, and in 2015 Deniz filed for divorce.
Winchester testified against Denis at the trial. He said he did not want divorce from his husband, so he would not have to share custody of their daughter. Together they conceived a plan for William's murder and wanted everything to look like an "unlucky case."
