The modern car has more and more techniques to help the driver. One of these reliefs enters the car and drives the engine without the physical use of the key (keyless technology). But how many such elegant solutions make life easier for owners, they can calm them down.
We've been writing about the modern car thefts in the UKwhere thieves, with the help of the heater, can drive a car in less than 20 seconds. And all this without any physical damage.
The procedure is simple and comes down to copying the signal coming from the key card. As usually near the front door, thieves are enough to approach them and capture the signal. The signal acquisition device can be legally purchased and costs about 100 euros.
That's why the number of thefts jumped incredibly in Britain. In 2017, as many as 100,000 vehicles were stolen, an increase of as much as 56 percent compared to the previous year.
German auto moto club, The ADAC has recently tested up to 237 cars and three motorcycles which have the ability to unlock and start the keyless motor. These were models of more than 30 brands, such as Audi, Mercedes, BMW, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Peugeot, Renault, Škoda and Volvo.
the result: Only three models passed the test, with four "thieves" facing the problem.
Some of the best-selling Jaguar Lend Rover models – "Jaguar i-pace", "Land Rover Discovery" and "Range Rover" – are best presented. Thanks to the technology that uses ultra-wide frequency signal, cars remain intact.
The "Infiniti Q30" could not be entered but the engine ran, while the reverse situation occurred with "Mazda 2", "Volvo XC60 T5" and "BMW i3".
Everyone else is "stolen"!

Otherwise, a car that is running this way can be driven until it is extinguished. To steal the thief, a car is usually transported abroad to reprogram and get a new key card.
An ADAC expert's advice is that it's best to exclude this feature. Wrapping in aluminum foil or placing in a metal box has not been proven to be an effective anti-theft method.
It would not be bad to keep the key card away from the front door, especially if you are living in a home.
