LeBron James says he has an internal, seasonal battle with how much he is delaying his younger teammates compared to the dominant games.
James decided for the former Thursday on Thursday, averaging 12 of 38 points in the last five minutes of the fourth quarter, to win 104-96 against the visitors of India Pacers.
Lakers Los Angeles lost their 24-point win before LeBron led them to 10th win in 14 games.
"That's the challenge I've been battling with the start of the season," James said. "How long I delay and allow some of our young people to understand, and how much do I try to download games? I think tonight was one of those cases where they looked at me and wanted me to close the game, and I just tried to make a drama."
In his career he plays the smallest number of minutes per match, and he learns to take responsibility for the handling of the balls and the great strikes.
But when the Lakers need a four-legged MVP to put them on their shoulders, a 16-year-old veteran can do that.
"I thought I would not have the ball in my hands so much, coming in the season and knowing more ball managers we have in this team," James said. "These guys have the ability to play too, but I'm available whenever we need a game that will be made. That's a challenge for me, and that's the adjustment for me, but all that's needed to help our club be as big as it can be towards the end of the season and at the same time be better every day ".
