UK letter dad 'in the sky' gets a touching response

EDINBURG: A seven-year-old boy in Scotland received an amazing surprise when he found out that the letter he wrote to his late father was "safely delivered" to British postal service.

Jase Hyndman recently wrote a father's birthday letter, his mother Teri Copland said on Wednesday (November 28th) on Facebook.

Little knew they would soon receive an answer from Royal Mail saying their letter was delivered.

Author of Sean Milligan's Delivery Office, the Royal Mail response said that giving a child's letter "a difficult challenge to avoid stars and other galactic objects on the way to the sky".

She added: "However, be assured that this important shipment has been delivered … I know how important your mail is. I will continue to do everything I can to ensure safe deliveries to the sky."

Copland said she was grateful for this kind of gesture.

She wrote, "Actually, I can not figure out how emotionally she knew Daddy got his card.

"You did not have to do it to do it, but you could ignore it, but the fact that you've been struggling for a boy you've never met is so beautiful to do."

She added: "Royal Mail, you have just renewed your faith in humanity."

According to the BBC, Jason and his ten-year-old sister Neiva marked her birthday every year since her death in 2014.

Jase was "overloaded" when she found out that the letter was "delivered" and she always says "my dad really got my letter to mum," Copland told the BBC.

Her social media post on the Royal Mail letter was split over 250,000 times since Wednesday.

Copland added: "I want people to understand that a little gesture of kindness can have such a fantastic influence on one's life … Royal Mail has really participated and it gives me so much comfort."
