A new dispute has been formed in the coalition that historically refers to the largest military trade since the establishment of the Slovak Republic: the purchase of US F-16 fighters. CIS proposals in the Ministry of Defense were published shortly after a short briefing that the ministry had signed three war treaties
They did not say who they signed, did not say the price, and they did not even say if it would definitely shut down the whole business.
A few hours later, Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini, who obviously did not know about such a step, gave a sharp statement.
"The Prime Minister is considering F-16 fighter contracts, which have been signed by the Defense Department, so far not valid," spokeswoman Pellegrini Patricia Macek said.
Pellegrini also indirectly said that the ministry acted arbitrarily. "According to the government's resolution, the prior consent of the Ministry of Finance is needed, and it has not yet been approved," the spokesman added.
What about contracts?
According to Den N, it's not Pellegrini
