Taiwanese technology giant Asus unveiled the world’s first 4K display for games with an HDMI 2.1 port during CES 2021. According to Gismuchin’s website, Asus is preparing to release its first display for games that support the HDMI 2.1 port, which has enough bandwidth to display up to 4K resolution at 120 frames per second when connected to a Windows PC, Xbox Series X or PS5.

The “ROG Swift PG32UQ” display, according to Asus, is the world’s first gaming monitor to support a 32-inch HDMI 2.1 port, and two HDMI ports support the latest standard. And DisplayPort 1.4 connectivity allows the ROG Swift PG32UQ to display 4K content with a 144Hz refresh rate via PC. The all-new ROG Swift PG32UQ gaming monitor features a 32-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K) and a refresh rate of 144Hz with a response time of 1 millisecond, but the Asus monitor may be the preferred choice among PC gamers because it has a larger screen.

The monitor also supports variable refresh rates, HDMI 2.1 and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, so it can sync the refresh rate with the GPU, even when frame speeds change naturally over time. The company confirms that the display supports ultra high color accuracy, with full coverage of the sRGB series and 98% of the DCI-P3 series, and supports VESA DisplayHDR 600 technology that allows it to achieve a peak brightness of 600 nits per square meter, meaning it has higher brightness. The screen comes with thin edges, an adjustable stand, Aura Sync lighting for the ROG logo on the back, USB ports and a headphone output jack. Asus has not disclosed the price of the device, but it is expected that its cost will not be less than $ 900.
