Hisham Arafat, the Minister of Transport and Communications, said that any increase in the price of transport is directly or indirectly in the interest of citizens, noting that there is no investment in the goals of the state, but aims to increase the efficiency of the service.
"Our goal is to increase the price of the ticket for any mode of transportation that will only cover the cost of services," the minister said in an exclusive interview with Erm News on the margins of attendance at the UAE Embassy Ceremony.
"Through these increases, many surveillance systems have been installed in many freight to reduce crime and provide citizens with security," he said.
Arafat pointed out that the state began to provide a means of transport for the benefit of citizens through the underground railway in the 1980s, but did not continue this way.
"The president and prime minister is trying to improve the efficiency of the road and transport network in Egypt in general, to provide excellent service to citizens, but the results need some time," he said. "The ITS system will be installed on all roads, such as those in the United Arab Emirates."
