The Japanese court acquitted former Metgox (Tokyo), a digital currency circulation specialist (CITC), from hundreds of millions of dollars (millions of dollars) away from its customers many years ago, Kyodo News reported. The Tokyo District Court convicted Marc Carballis of manipulating commercial data and sentenced him to 30 months of imprisonment, suspended for four years.
Carbiles, a French citizen, denied all charges against him, while prosecutors asked him to be sentenced to 10 years in prison.
In February 2014, Metgox, one of the world's largest digital encryption exchanges, closed all virtual currency transactions and filed for bankruptcy.
The stock market said it lost about 850,000 of its owners.
