Arlo today announced its latest camera security system at home. Called Arlo Ultra, the camera system has a resolution of 4K Ultra HD and will be set up on consumers during the first quarter of 2019.
Arlo assures the new Arlo Ultra has a 4K image sensor with HDR image processing and is capable of recording and delivering 4K video quality to its users. The sensor also offers "one of the widest viewing angles in the wireless security camera industry," a significant feature of the security camera.
With its 4K HDR video quality, Arlo Ultra packs a weather-resistant, design-free design that means it can be installed indoors or outdoors. Other features include a built-in siren that can be started by either starting or audio detection or remote launch, as well as an annual Arlo Smart Premier subscription.
As for the battery, Arlo Ultra has a rechargeable battery, although Arlo does not offer any details on how often you will have to recharge it. Unfortunately, Arlo Ultra does not support HomeKit integration, but Arlo removes the new SmartHub to enable IOT features:
