DIY Halloween Ghost Tea Lights



Between tea light pumpkins and tea light witches, there are so many ways to use those flameless LED candles you can find at the dollar store. And this latest DIY ghost tutorial (or should we say boo-torial?) is the simplest so far.

While the other ideas involved turning the tea lights into faces with crooked, fiery noses, this craft cleverly conceals the flame with a bit of clay. The result? Teeny tiny apparitions which appear to be floating and glowing.

Meaghan Mountford, the blogger behind The Decorated Cookie, dreamed up the fun little phantoms as a festive way to use leftover air-dry modeling clay, which you find at any craft store.

A quick trip to the dollar store later, and you’ll have everything you need for the handmade Halloween decoration. Her instructions are so easy, you can even get the kids crafting.

To re-create, simply roll out the clay and cut into circles using a cookie cutter or knife. Poke two eyeholes and drape over foam craft balls or ping pong balls to dry. When it’s done, place the hardened clay figures over the flameless candles for a fleet of spirits that’s sweet, not spooky.
