The 2018 Emmy Awards are fast approaching and PEOPLE is breaking down the big night as you prepare to watch all the biggest TV stars gather in a room.

When and where are the Emmy Awards?

Monday, September 17, at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles.
