There may be some situations in which a Roblox employee requests a customer care or DevForum post to customer logs to help investigate a problem. This article describes how to recover these logs.
Note: Please do not retrieve or send in these logs unless requested by a Roblox employee.
The process for retrieving client logs varies depending on the operating system you are using. Please note that the following information does not apply to mobile devices.
Open Roblox Studio of:
Windows XP / Vista / 7/10: Start> All Programs (or All Apps)> Roblox> Roblox Studio
Windows 8: Click on the Windows logo in the lower left corner and then type Roblox Studio when the tiled home screen is displayed. To select Roblox Studio from the search list that appears on the right of the screen.
Mac: Command + Spacebar> Insert RobloxStudio > Enter
Open settings by clicking on File> Settings
In the left pane, click Network. If it does not appear, close and reopen Roblox Studio.
Under diagnostics, make sure that these check boxes are selected:
Press on the WINDOWS KEY and R keyboard at the same time.
For Mac: Macintosh HD> Users> [your user profile] > Library> Roblox> Registers
Note: Mac users skip step 7
A call box To run will appear. Copy and paste or type the following without quotes:
If you are using Windows Vista / 7/8/10: "% LocalAppData% Roblox logs"
If you are using Windows XP: "% USERPROFILE% Local Settings Application Data Roblox logs"
Delete everything in the folder.
Try playing Roblox the normal way you try to play.
When it does not work, close Roblox and repeat steps 6 and 7.
There will be several files in the folder now. Please send to email@example.com making sure to refer to the situation in question that required the registries.
