Macomb’s new do-it-yourself studio helps you create decorations, fun Lifestyles

A fast-growing franchise with five locations in the Detroit area has opened a new boutique workshop in Macomb, where novel artisans and do-it-yourselfers can create personalized items and gifts for the home.

The ARomb Workshop Macomb offers equipment workshops and instructors and spaces for private events for children and adults. You can register to create and customize your wooden signage, frames, cushions, trays, Lazy Susans, centerpiece boxes, canvas bags and more.

The average time to complete a project is two and a half hours. Most adult projects cost $ 40- $ 70 and projects for children from $ 40- $ 45. Participants can bring their own snacks and drinks, including alcoholic beverages.

"I only knew that this laboratory concept suited the Macomb community perfectly," says co-owner Christine Shovein in a press release. "We are very excited to present something similar to the area and offer a new entertainment and artistic outlet option."

Shovein's partner, Kimberly Berlin, noticed the positive response from customers at her Rochester store, and then reconnected with her high school friend to propose the opening of the Macomb store.

Designers Maureen Anders and Adria Ruff created Anders Ruff Custom Designs in 2010 as boutiques and blogs on mixed media, before developing practical workshops where participants could learn skills to create their own. Since the first AR Workshop was founded in Pineville, in the north, in 2016, over 95 new locations have been opened nationwide. The female-owned excess should exceed 100 sites in the United States by the end of the year.

In addition to open workshops and private or holiday events, summer camps for children will be offered.

AR Workshop Macomb is at the number 48840 of Romeo Plank Road. You can consult the workshops offered on arworkshop.com/macomb or call 586-872-4513 for more information.

An inaugural launch party, at 18:00 Thursday, September 20th, will feature a mini do-it-yourself project, swallows, sweets, giveaways, raffles and booking discounts. Register on Facebook or on the Macomb AR Workshop website.
